Across from Spaghetteria Fiore is La Bottega, the local supermarket which has just about everything you can imagine. You'll find a wide selection of cheeses at Bepi's supermarket, from various types of Asiago cheese to Parmesans like Grana Padano and Parma Reggiano. There are also many lesser known but equally tasty local cheeses. La Bottega also has a great delicatessen section with numerous hams like prosciutto crudo, prosciutto cotto, turkey, porchetta, salami and other cold cuts. If you are planning a day trip or picnic you could ask them to prepare a few sandwiches for you, a good combo might be prosciutto crudo and mascarpone (a soft cheese used in Tiramisu recipes) on a sesame roll or baguet. If you prefer to hang out and eat at home you might pick up a salad and some Vitello Tonnato or a spread that Bepi carries which is prepared by Il Ceppo Gastronomia. |
