Just past Eleanora's snack bar right by the bridge is another local hangout serving excellent food called Osteria Oibò. The expression "wild and crazy guys" must have originated here, as Bruno and associates are real characters and keep the atmosphere light and jovial. Among the many practical jokes, I've witnessed scenes where they open a bottle of spumante on someone's birthday as the cake is coming out and end up pouring it on his head. Osteria Oibò offers a full range of fine food, from the antipastos right down to the desserts. Carnivores will especially delight in the great beef they have which is imported from Ireland. Make no mistake about it, this is a fun-loving young crowd who makes a lot of noise but the food is nothing short of excellent. For a genuine osteria where you can kick back and mingle with the locals, Oibò is a must! |
