The Center for International Studies of Architecture (CISA) offers both architecture courses and art exhibits featuring the work of Vicenza's best known citizen, renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. The center is just a stone's throw from the Basilica Palladiana in Piazza dei Signori, and holds a number of architecture seminars, conferences and courses by international scholars such as Howard Burns, James Ackerman, Jean Guillaume, Renato Cevese, Franco Barbieri and Lionello Puppi. One of the annual themes is "Andrea Palladio and the Veneto Villa from Petrarch to Carlo Scarpa", with paintings and drawings from over 50 museums by Paolo Veronese, Tiziano, Guercino, Jacopo Bassano, Raffaello, Giulio Romano, Peruzzi, Canaletto, Tiepolo and of course Andrea Palladio. Courses are held at Palazzo Barbaran Da Porto in August and September.
