Ringed by mountains, Recoaro has a mild climate and delightful scenery. Its renowned spas feature different waters, each thought to be therapeutic for an ailment. The town's fame as a spa center began in 1689, when a Count from Vicenza found a spring of water rich in gas, yet pleasant tasting. Much of the bottled mineral water we drink comes directly from the springs in Recoaro.

Beyond its spas, Recoaro offers mountaineering, trekking and sport fishing for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also various spectacles held in Recoaro to entertain holiday goers of all ages, like the feast of "Stria", the Epiphany bonfire and the call of March - a folk parade of groups and cars held on the last Sunday of February. Recoaro makes for a good day trip and can easily be reached by car or bus from Bob and Jenny's holiday homes in Vicenza.
