Benza station

As you approach our house you will see a Benza station on your left just before the traffic light where the bridge to the stadium is.  Gigi, the mechanic who lives next to the station and his family knows us very well, so if you are uncertain where our house is (or if you need to fill up the car) feel free to stop and ask them where we live (you'll need to ask in Italian of course, so wave your hands and say "Bob and Jenny" a few times!).

Tour busses often stop here and let the passengers off so they can walk up to La Rotonda and Villa Valmarana.  You'll find lots of people out and about on the bike path or kids on a school trip.  This is one of the oldest areas of Vicenza and once served as a port with horse-drawn barges transporting salt and spices to and from Venice.  The port was just in front of our guest house where the 2 rivers meet.
