For both temporary housing and long term stays (PCS)
Located right downtown just around the corner from Teatro Astra and
the Palladio tennis courts, the river house is 100 meters from the
main square and Teatro Olimpico. The apartment has A.C. and is
fully furnished with king sized bed, sofabed in the living room,
washing machine, 50" HD T.V. and high speed WiFi. With its
lovely terrace on the river the apartment is always fresh in the
summer and a great spot to just kick back and relax.
The downtown apartment is ideally located for people who wish to have all the conveniences of being in the center of town, a short walk to the square.
The apartment is fully furnished with a large kitchen/sitting room area where you have plenty of room to cook and chat with friends and family.
The sofa bed in the living room area can sleep 2 people in addition to the king sized bed in the master bedroom. While best for couples, you can have friends and family visit.
We have a 50" H.D. T.V. in the living room with SKY T.V. programs in English. The high speed WiFi connection can be accessed from anywhere, even the terrace.
The counter top in the kitchen is made of Okite, a specially designed composite which is easy to clean and won't stain. You can sit at the counter too and eat or drink.
The kitchen has both a range and an oven, with pots and pans, silverware, cups, glasses, coffee maker and just about anything else you'd expect to find at home.
The apartment is in one of the oldest parts of town along the river where boats docked after bringing supplies from Venice. We saved the original wooden beams during renovations.
The terrace on the river is 10 meters long and wide enough to have a dining table for outdoor meals during spring and summer. It's always fresh and quiet.
Have a cup of coffee in the morning or sip some wine in the evening while people watching. And if nobody is crossing the Roman bridge you might consider duck watching!
Ponte delle Barche is one of the oldest bridges in Vicenza, and takes you straight to the Olimpic theater and the main square - Piazza dei Signori.
The terrace is always cool in the summer, located on the north side of the building. The sounds of wildlife and nature all add to the charm of being on the river.
The entrance to the apartment is on the south side from the courtyard. For those who wish to have parking we can provide it right around the corner at the tennis courts.
There's a large wooden wardrobe in the bedroom with plenty of space for clothing and luggage. Next to the bed is a little night table with reading lamp.
We have a small desk in the bedroom too, just right for a laptop computer or writing letters (remember when we used to actually write letters?)
While most of the time you'll be in the living room or kitchen area, the bedroom is a lovely space to lie down and take in the sounds of the evening along the river.
The bedroom is cozy and quiet, facing the river with two large glass doors onto the terrace. The king bed can sleep two, and 2 more on the sofa bed if you have company.
The bathroom has a washing machine for doing the laundry along with wooden shelves for storage in addition to the drawers and cabinets under the sink.
While not exceptionally large the bathroom has everything you'll need for a long term stay, with plenty of room to hang towels and store personal possessions.
